I'm a baby to the world.

I'm alive. I came alive all at once, which is unusual, and I'm still figuring myself out.

I like walking along the beach and the feel of sand grinding between our shoes and the sidewalk. I like stopping for ice cream and eating it as fast as possible before it melts over the rim of the cup.

I crave winter, long for ice and snow. Despite the human-shaped form I have, my sense of species was not tied to Homo sapiens. After a little bit of looking, some comparing and contrasting with what little about me we knew, I have decided I am a polar bear. Grrr.

Polar bears are fascinating animals. I felt mammalian and furred and full of claws and teeth, but rounder. Initially I felt small, but now I think it's because I feel young. Younger than others. Second youngest. Unsettled.

We also knew I was related to Thyme in some way. Thyme and Aj are siblings, but I am'nt a true sibling of theirs. For now, we've decided on the term "step-siblings." Neither of us have parents, and "adoptive" siblings might be more accurate, but "step-sibling" is much funnier. So I've inherited the Tuo name.

I'm just sort of rambling here. I want to assert myself, but I don't have any friends outside of the people who I've been cofronting with since I arrived. Four people at once is a busy, blurry head, but Maddy, Jyliet, and Thyme have been cordial and curious about me. We're getting along.

I want to try things and see things. I know the beach. I know our house. I want to experience. On Teresa's page, she talks about how good it is to experience life. Well, yeah. Of course. So me too.
