Fronting is precarious for me. I do so delicately because I am one of the oldest here. I've been conscious as a person since 2005. My earliest memory is of reading D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths.
I awakened as otherkin in 2013 after encountering a spirit who possessed me. They let go, and I discovered myself as the Minotaur, Asterion—I am not a generic fantasy minotaur: I am the Minotaur, son of Pasiphaë, born in Crete.
I studied Latin for several years in high school and competed in classical studies events. I am very out of practice, but I'd like to regain my Latin fluency and classics knowledge. Because I'm not at the front very often, my study is limited. Nevertheless, we have a textbook and a notebook that I can return to at any time.
My favorite poet is Virgil. His command over the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of Latin is unparalleled (such as the masterful use of anastrophe and onomatopoeia), and the Aeneid exposed me to those and other poetic and literary devices that I and the other poets in the House use regularly.
about the Attic
Our headspace takes the form of a house, literally. There are rooms, stairs, porches, and yards. The highest floor is the attic, which is where I live and what I am. I am the space and the guardian of the space. The attic is a layer of our headspace and our system, and I am its representative.
Others can live in the attic, temporarily or, as far as we know, forever. I am full of other selves: pieces of me, other people, and walk-ins. We hesitate to offer more information about them. They have tucked themselves away—best not to expose them to unfamiliar eyes.
For now, they'll stay with me.
