Mac Gallery
Our favorite pieces are:
- First piece, by Starosis: perfectly encapsulates Mac's general vibes in the beginning of Cross Pollination, a novella we've drafted where the four are trapped on a deserted tropical island. His facial expression is perfect. He's scared, he's a little distraught, he's got his brow furrowed because he is trying to decide what to do, being the only sane person on the island he thinks. He's gotta protect Georgie, he's gotta fuck Astral, he's gotta figure out what Teresa's deal is, Quickly, before they all die.
- Fourth piece, by cyrsed: he's made of meat. His expression is so tender, unsure of what's going on, trying to trust Astral because if he doesn't he's definitely going to die. We love the shininess of the everything and Mac's fluffy hair. The body hair is also really beautifully rendered, especially his armpit hair.
- Fifth piece, by Enokicreeps: pixel art is so cool always, and his limp wrist and big brown puppy dog eyes are so endearing. The big floppy dog ears with the piercing are spectacular, and his big furrowed eyebrows convey so much emotion. It's got such fun shading, too.
- Second piece, by Kikuwaters: we have pieces by Kikuwaters for all four OCs because their style is so unique and we love the collage instead of a simple illustration. He's a doggy kind of guy, and that particular quote, "love is the law / love under will" is a tenet of Thelema, meaning that love is the law but! it is under Will, or fulfilling life's purpose. If love comes into conflict with Will, then Will should win. And Astral sees himself as Will, so that's always a fun emotional component to their relationship.
- Tenth piece, by cyrsed: this is an older piece, so Mac looks a little different, but we love to see this man struggle. The sweat rolling off his body and the desperate hands on the sink are so evocative.
