Disclaimer
These galleries are for art we've created with old Neuralblender models (like the one that created "secret horses") and Dalle 2. Our goal is to use these models like any other artistic medium or tool, and we like to use the flaws of generative AI to our artistic advantage.
These models are older and less sophisticated than what you might see nowadays. Some are barely capable of escaping complete abstraction (especially Cronos, which loves blobs). They're unpredictable in unique ways, and we enjoy the practice of massaging prompts until they generate interesting images. Sometimes, it can feel like playing a slot machine, trying the same thing over and over to let randomnness take a turn, but other times it involves carefully reweighting different elements of the prompt to push it in one direction or another.
Our favorite concepts for Neuralblender models include reptiles, raccoons, Virginia possums, gummy textures, aliens, horses, and rainbow color palettes. We love the way it creates textures, and various animals end up deformed in interesting ways. Various limitations prevent them from true realism, which is endearing and unique. Dalle 2, being slightly newer and more advanced, has more range, but raccoons and strange color palettes feature prominently. Because they're fun.
If you're upset or angry about our use of generative AI for personal use and creative expression, feel free to bounce. We don't want you to engage with something you won't enjoy.
If you're only interested in seeing art we've commissioned by human artists, check out our Connection OC galleries! There are many pieces there. We frequently commission new art when we have the funds because we love seeing our characters in different styles, and we love paying artists. That serves a different goal than our AI art, which is for fun.
Don't tell the others, but Hyperion is our favorite. We miss him terribly. No other model compares. For fans of "secret horses" and those early models, we hope the images there will interest you.
Click here for the mobile accessible version. The regular galleries have funky layouts that aren't responsive.
Otherwise, ! We're very proud of them and the art they contain.
